About Me - Nicole Dorion
I'm a deep-thinking, creative type-A with a love for food, task lists, and a good glass of wine or craft beer. I have a 6 year-old-son and a 3-year-old yellow lab who I swear are going through the same developmental phases (there's lots of biting and snack stealing in our house). I enjoy being active and spending time outside at the beach, golfing, running, camping, snowshoeing, and more. I also have a full-time career as a web/content specialist and photographer at a local college.
Nicole Marie Photography - The Start
My interest in photography started in high school while taking film photography classes, you know, when developing film in a dark room was still a thing. In college, which I hate to admit was almost 15 years ago, I bought my first DSLR and photography grew into a true hobby. Over the years, my experience and commitment has ebbed and flowed with the different stages of my life, but I've reached a point where I'm confident and able to take my passion further. That's where Nicole Marie Photography comes in.
I've always wanted to start my own business and pursue photography as more than a hobby, so it only seemed natural to combine the two. Since I have a full-time job, photography is a "side" business for myself. My hope is to not only create beautiful photos for you to cherish, but to continue to enhance my skills and knowledge, explore our beautiful Northwoods, and make new and lasting connections.
