FAQ

What is your style of photography?

I enjoy lifestyle and portrait photography. That means my sessions are a mix of posed and candid shots. I encourage you to have fun at your session - playing, laughing, loving - these things make the best photos. I use mainly natural light at outdoor or in-home locations.

What do you mean by "in-home" location?

I do not have a photography studio for indoor sessions so "in-home" means I would come to your home and take the photos in your house. These can make great lifestyle photos. The tricky part is lighting; having enough natural light is essential so before we commit to an in-home session, we'll discuss your space and make sure it's a good option.

When will we get our photos?

Within 1 week I will post a sneak peek of several edited images on social media and you will receive a link to a full gallery of unedited digital images. From these, you will select your favorites up to the number of photos in your package, plus any additional for $5/digital image. Once I receive your favorites, I will edit them and send you a link to your final gallery within 2-4 weeks. This timeframe will vary depending on the season. I will always communicate with you about when you can expect your final photos.

What should I wear?

First of all, whatever you wear should be comfortable. If you don't feel good in your clothing, that will show. Choose a color palette and coordinate with others in your group. I don't suggest trying to match perfectly or putting everyone in the same color or clothing, but instead select a range of colors, textures, and pieces that work together. Also think about the season and choose colors that compliment the natural surroundings. Pinterest can be very helpful when selecting a color palette. Bring accessories like jackets, hats, scarves, sweaters, shawls etc. If they work, great! If not we can remove them. Avoid distracting patterns, fluorescent colors, logos, characters, and wording on your clothing. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need help!

Why are you a part-time photographer?

As a mom and full-time marketing professional, I realistically only have time for a certain amount of shoots and editing per month. I work sessions around my day-job and caring for my child. Although that means I have limited availability, I often have more flexibility for scheduling in the evening and on some weekends.

Do you photograph weddings?

I have started growing my experience as a wedding photographer and have availability to take on a few wedding dates per year. Please contact me to discuss details and pricing. Thank you!
